Neshonoc Lakeside RV Resort, West Salem, WI
Wow! Neshonoc Lakeside RV Resort is such a beautiful and well kept campground! We arrived Thursday, July 6th and were directed to the Thousand Trails section which is nestled at the top of the hill in the campground and doesn't have lake views. However, this section is very shaded and quiet. There are several cabins behind us. Our back-in site has a single cabin behind us and the rest is a wooded area.
The campground has several boat launch areas and a 'beach' (it is Wisconsin) to the lake. There were lots of kayakers, stand up paddle boarders and jet skis out on the water given the beautiful weather.
This campground gives off all the feels of a real family friendly campground! Every day, all day, there are kids playing on the playground equipment, kids playing tetherball, the pool has been busy and lots of people wave and say hello.
Nearby there are many amenities- grocery stores, big box stores, restaurants, a local bakery, and many parks. We dined at Red Pines Bar & Grill in Onalaska, WI (about 20 minutes from the campground). We highly recommend the brisket bombs and Wisconsin cheese curds!
We'll be back to this hidden gem!
