An orange couch

71 inches is what we hadto work with for a couch. Loveseats average 52-58 inches in length. Couches start at 80-84 inches in length.
Oh the joys of an RV...nothing standard! Oh, did I mention the door width is 22 inches?
Our idea was to find something at IKEA. They come in pieces, we could assemble in the RV. Problem solved!!! Three trips to IKEA and no couch. We deliberated and deliberated. We found that we’d either not utilize all the space if we went with a loveseat or be consumed with huge arm rests. Neither was a good option.
We checked Wayfair. They did have reasonable options but our fear was “what if it isn’t comfy?” And I did not want to deal with the hassle of returning it, no matter what their return policy was! Other than the size constraint, we wanted something bright. We found several at Walmart and Target online that were around $500. This was perfect! We settled on a bright orange one from Target.
The couch came in 4 pieces to assemble. It went in like a charm and took about 10 minutes to assemble. We didn’t add the feet because we have to have a custom box built around the black box that we found while tearing out the original jackknife sofa. The sofa will sit down in the box to keep the sofa in place while we drive.
