Family trip to Denver, Colorado

The past week has been a bit different than our normal RV travel. Vern's two daughters, Jordan and Aly came to visit us along with Jordan's girlfriend, Mack. We rented an AirBnB for all of us to spread out and enjoy, including Mello.

The original intent of this trip was to go see Jordan's favorite artist at Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside of Denver on Sunday, October 29. We were lucky (or unlucky depending on how you view it) to be here for Denver's first snowfall. The snow started midday on Saturday and continued through Sunday. We had about 5 inches of snow. While the roads were cleared quickly, the concert was postponed.

Instead, we ventured out explore Denver! We took a drive through the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Animal Refuge which we saw prairie dogs, bison and lots of birds! Instead of going to the concert, we checked out trivia on Sunday night at 9pm at TGI Friday's. (Weird time, right?!) We won first place on Halloween trivia! Wohoo!

The AirBnB was nice to be in a house for a week. Everyone had their own room and Mello had a full backyard to run around in.

Aly and I took a ghost tour of haunted houses in Denver in the snow. We had no idea there were so many haunted spots in Denver! We had an awesome guide and checked out the Molly Brown house. If you're up for a great tour, check out Walking Tours in Denver for other options if ghosts and haunted houses aren't your thing!

We were all super bummed the concert didn't go on however Vern, Jordan and Mack are able to attend the rescheduled event in November so they'll be back soon!

Our next travel stop will be Hershey, Pennsylvania. We'll be working our way east over the next week. Here's to seeing no more snow!
